About D4D — design for dream

Built in our warehouse.
Trusted on every show floor.

Twenty years ago we were a two-person shop crating booths at midnight. Today we're 60,000 square feet, fourteen designers and engineers, and 5,000 booths delivered — still crating at midnight, by choice.

The name is the brief.

"Design for dream" isn't a slogan we bought from an agency — it's how the shop started. Our founders were exhibit carpenters who kept watching great brands show up to trade shows with booths that undersold them. The dream was simple: a builder that treats a 10×10 with the same seriousness as an island.

That meant owning every step. Design that knows what fabrication costs. Fabrication that knows what installers curse at. Installers who call the designer from the show floor at 2 AM — and the designer picks up. Twenty years later, that phone still gets answered.

"We never outsourced the hard parts. That's the whole company, honestly."

Company File — Milestones

Twenty years, six turning points.

Two carpenters, one rented bay

First booth: a 10×10 for a local security firm at a Las Vegas gun show. Built in four days, installed overnight, client re-booked on the spot.

The build that changed the ceiling

A 30×30 island with a rigged hanging sign at CES — our first project with in-house engineering drawings. We hired our first full-time designer that year.

East coast, covered

OCCC and the Florida show circuit were sending too much freight west. The Orlando office opened with two PMs; it now runs all east coast and international logistics.

60,000 sq ft, three CNC lines

We consolidated fabrication, graphics, and climate-controlled storage under one roof — 15 minutes from the LVCC. Zero outsourced build steps since.

From Vegas to London

Ocean freight, customs, and vetted local I&D crews under our project management. First international build: NetRefer at iGB Live, ExCeL London.

Still answering at 2 AM

The five-thousandth booth shipped this spring. Same promise as booth №1: staged preview before crating, zero punch-list at handover.

Why the history matters to your booth: every rule we follow — staged previews, stamped drawings, one PM — exists because something went wrong once, twenty years ago, and we decided it never would again.
How we work

Three rules we don't bend.

RULE·01

Everything in-house

Design, engineering, fabrication, graphics, and install crews under one roof. When nothing is outsourced, nothing gets lost in a handoff — and no one else gets blamed.

RULE·02

Show-floor honesty

If a cheaper configuration will perform the same, we say so before you sign. Exhibitors come back yearly; a padded first invoice isn't worth losing twenty shows.

RULE·03

Walk it before it ships

Every booth stands fully assembled in our workshop before crating. You walk it, punch-list it, approve it. Surprises belong in your product reveal — not your booth.

The crew

The people who pick up the phone.

SM
Sarah Mitchell Exhibit Strategist

12 years of show floors from CES to MEDICA. Runs pre-show strategy: targets, layouts, and staffing plans.

DK
Dana Kim Design Director

Leads the 3D team. Known for sightline studies that predict aisle traffic before the hall map is even final.

JO
James Okafor Head of Show Operations

Owns every install calendar. The person on-site at 2 AM the night before doors — and reachable at 2 PM after.
